Europe, Spain, reign of King Alfonso X of Castile, ca. 1252 to 1284 CE. A petite Spanish Obolo coin minted during the monarchy of King Alfonso X of Castile. The coin, created from gold, silver, and copper alloy known as billon, displays a three-tower castle on the obverse and a left-facing lion inside concentric squares on the reverse. The coin is showcased inside a circular 14K gold setting with four equidistant bifurcated loop bands. The top of the pendant has a perforated circular loop through which a pin secures a teardrop-shaped suspension hoop. A beautiful pendant that is both stylish and wearable on any occasion!
