A LOUIS XV STYLE CARVED WALNUT CENTER TABLE, 20TH CENTURY, the solid walnut table with shaped ogee edged top over shaped apron composed of "C" form scrolls with acanthus leaf and scroll embellishments on a cross hatched ground centering a cartouche with scroll framed carved oval profile portrait of a man with laurel wreath crown on the long sides, the others with carved leaf and foliate scrolls centering a shell, raised on "C" scroll legs with acanthus flourish at the corners and base terminating in hoof feet, the legs joined by a shaped scrolled "X" form stretcher with carved boss at the center surmounted by carved foliate finial. Height: 30 1/2" Width: 59 3/4" Depth: 33 1/2"
In overall good condition with fading of wood on the top, minor surface rubbing, scratching, and wear commensurate with age and use.
