The map was created in the early 1920's, and published by the "Yellowstone Trail Association". The map shows the layout of the Yellowstone Trail, and its landmarks through Montana, and into Idaho and Wyoming. The map reads from top to bottom; "The Yellowstone Trail Touring Service - Map No. 7 - Montana - Stick to the Yellowstone Trail - When it is bad we will tell you - Published by The Yellowstone Trail Association". In addition to the in-depth map, the piece includes general information on the Yellowstone Trail Association, and on the state of Montana.
