Eastern Europe, Russian, ca. 15th century CE. A lovely cast-bronze cross with an interior Golgotha cross, a central tsata, an integral suspension loop, tooth-shaped denticular terminals, and expanded upper and lower sections representative of the walls of Jerusalem. The monogram uPbC (King of Glory) is above the interior cross, and IC XC (Jesus Christ) is on each respective lateral end. A faded depiction of Adam's skull in the cave rests beneath the interior cross, and the monogram HK (Conqueror) is beneath that. The cross has an overall russet-hued patina with small areas of pale green patina as well. A beautiful example! Size: 1.2" W x 1.625" H (3 cm x 4.1 cm).
