In a Doris Langley Moore Letter: “All were bought by me from a niece of Mrs. Toogood, one of the Queen’s dressers and quite beyond questionâ€. The clothing items are of the Queen’s size during her elder years and conform to her taste. White cotton percale having lace collar and front ruffle, long sleeve with a pair of tapered tucks above the lace cuff, monogram below the front opening "VR" surmounted by crown over the number "36". The Queen purchased lingerie in large quantities which were numbered, possibly to designate which residence they were intended for. B-64, L-54. Excellent.
