"Design for Cultural history of America Prjoect: Building the Missions" - pencil on paper, sight - 6.5" high x 7.25" wide; in good condition, framed behind glass, not examined out of frame. Bell - pencil on paper, sight - 6.5" high x 2.75" wide; in good condition, framed behind glass, not examined out of frame. Builder & Family- pencil on paper, 7.5" high x 5.75" wide each, both with uneven toning, small scratches and losses at edges. Mural study - pencil with white on paper, mounted to board, image - 2" high x 12" wide, lifting from board at left, small tear to sheet upper left. Abraham Joel Tobias (American, 1913 - 1996) was a painter, muralist, and educator in New York City and the pioneer of shaped canvases in the 1930's. From the Rego Park, Queens, NY estate of the artist.
