Lot 0294
Civil War relic group consisting of two US belt plates, an Eagle shoulder belt plate, an infantry hunting horn insignia, cap / hat insignia B / 3, four(4) general service buttons, a waist belt brass adjuster, a kepi chin strap buckle, a pile of minie balls from Vicksburg, a shell fuse, and two pieces of battlefield-marked shell shrapnel - the others are from unknown battlefields. Although convincingly aged, the three (3) plates are likely Bannerman replicas; two have replica Gaylord maker imprints on their lead-filled backs. The Confederate pattern tin drum canteen with white linen strap and cork stopper is also seen as an aged replica and is sold as such. The CS note is from the Feb 17, 1864 Series and shows it's age.
