Hand Built Electric Caterpillar Bulldozer. Vendor Comments "The bulldozer was initially constructed from scratch in 2016 as a pedal-powered bulldozer, inspired by 1950’s American pedal bulldozers. It won first prize at the Model Tractor Show in Leamington Spa in 2017, for best scratch-built model. It worked well, but was hard for smaller children to pedal it around corners, so in 2018 I re-engineered it with electric drive motors and controls. The electric and electronic components were sourced from a nearly-new electric wheelchair. It can now be driven by anyone from 3 years of age up to adult, using the joystick control, just like the real thing! The manual hydraulic system was also converted to electric hydraulics. As well as front headlights, it also has rear mounted flashing amber hazard lights. The bulldozer is obviously based on a Caterpillar, this shape of machine lending itself to a drivable model, as the distinctive high sprocket layout gives a perfect seating position for children or adults without any seat adjustments being necessary. The machine has had very little use, probably less than 10 hours in total and is almost as new, just minor scratches which any real bulldozer would have, the day after it left the factory!
The bulldozer weighs about 140 kgs, is 150centimetres long, 85 centimetres wide and 103 centimetres high.
