A beautiful Etruscan terracotta votive head, c. 4th Century BC, in the form of a veiled woman, her features beautifully modeled and wearing a choker and earrings, her hair parted in middle and styled in waves and falling into pendant cork screws on either side. H: 3 x 3 1/4 in(7.6 x 8.3 cm). Light deposits, lucite base. Ex Harold Whitbeck estate, San Francisco CA, acquired during the 1980's and 1990's from major auction houses and galleries in the US and UK.
