This very important portrait is very rare among China Trade oil paintings. Same subject was found in the book by Carl L. Crossman, The China Trade, 1973. pp45 Plate 32. The painting described in the book is very small, 12 ¾ x 11”. It was attribute to You Qua. However, it more like Lan Qua’s style and quality..
