A 19th century silver and gold diamond brooch. Designed as a pave-set diamond flower, with old and rose-cut diamond scrolling sides. Estimated total diamond weight 3.50 to 4cts, principal diamond estimated I-J colour, P1 clarity. Length 6.2cms. Weight 8.5gms.

Condition

  • Overall condition fair to good. Some surface scratches/ wear, discolouration and minor dents in keeping with general age and wear.
  • Possibly converted from another piece of jewellery. Brooch fitting later addition.
  • A few diamonds possible replacements.
  • Diamonds well matched and bright.
  • Diamonds with light and dark, scattered inclusions, some surface reaching.
  • A few diamonds with small chips, some with natural indents and trigons visible.
