A CELADON JADE GUANYIN, QING DYNASTY
China. The Bodhisattva elegantly carved with long flowing robes, one hand holding a scroll, the serene face framed with tied tresses and a cowl over a tiara. The stone of striking deep celadon color with scattered faint hues of russet.
Provenance: The Durwin Tang Collection of Chinese Jades.
Condition: Excellent condition. Several natural fissures to the mineral have been cleverly integrated into the carving of the long flowing robes, especially on the backside.
