This top of a staff is representing the god of iron and war: " Aringa Ogun". The Yoruba "like most African groups" have a particular reverence for iron, as it is intimately associated with war, power and (male) authority. Those who work iron are also endowed with magical abilities that find their way into many other aspects of Yoruba life. Sold with a custom stand in wood and metal.
