Pre-Columbian, northern Peru, Chimu culture, ca. 1000 to 1400 CE. Molded blackware jar with a human perched atop the vessel, his face in high relief, his arms act as the handles to the jar. Beneath him swin two large fish, possibly a type of native catfish or mudfish. Size: 7-1/2"H.
