I had a low cost item ($62 total) with Capo's referral to a single shipper whose charge for shipping came to $40! Granted it was a small glass vase; however, I feel this was a bit high with no choices.

I won an item and was never contacted or sent any invoice. When I called I would get an answering machine. Seems to me like this auction house has gone down in customer service in the past year.

The auction house gave a list of shippers. Three of them told me they were too busy. One didn ‚ Ä ô t know where Capo was located. I had to finally had to call the last shipper twice after I had emailed them. HECTIC!

Did not respond to numerous emails sent. I had to phone a few times to get feedback to my emails and provide payment information, I am an international client and they kept me on hold. The staff and auction house seemed very disorganized. I arranged my own shipping through UPS.

Although we did not ask for a condition report, which was our fault, the photo of the bed we purchased was very misleading. No damage could be seen at all, and even though one of the legs was detached when we picked it up, the bed must have just been propped up on it for the photo. Would not bid with them again.

We have enjoyed bidding on Capo through LiveAuctioneers for years. On one occasion, there was a lapse from an on-line bid during a lot change, which awarded me an unwanted sale. The people at Capo were very professional by understanding and making it right by providing us with a full credit.

Photos and descriptions DON'T isolate issues with items [ as has been my experience on more than one occasion ]-when pointed out, the staff has been nice about it, however.

Not sure if it's "New York attitude," or what, but Bea Bishunnath, the biller, can seem very rude on the phone. I've spent thousands at this auction house, but her demeanour can be very abrupt and off-putting. When you're trying to arrange payment/give money to someone, it's nice when they can be a little gracious. I felt like I was in trouble-yet I have always paid promptly and in full. A very off-putting person to have in customer service.

They dismissed my bid arbitrarily and without excuse on another item that had no reserve on it

Descriptions were minimal and I knew that, but a book described as "first edition" with nothing more should be the first printing, not a later printing. And forcing buyers to rely on outside shipping services puts a buyer in the very uncomfortable position of being charged far more than expected for shipping, or taking a big loss if the shipper proves unreliable.

The often do not describe or show in the photos obvious damage to the items up for auction. It makes me very wary about bidding if I cannot make it to the house to preview the items.

You should really try working with them...... it's unbelievable. 25 percent premium no descriptions no photos your support of them is more a comment on your want of revenue than pursuit of standards.
