Capo Auction sold an obviously fake Louis Vuitton bag to me. I paid them immediately and notified them immediately upon receipt that the bag was a counterfeit sending photos of why (absurd date code located outside of inner pocket with two letters not LV production country and 5 numbers instead of 4, plastic inner pocket, upside down rivets poorly stamped). I immediately returned the bag to them. Capo refused to cover any of the $70 shipping and, despite multiple promises of a refund, has yet to issue one. As a result I had to open a complaint with my Visa card company. That was on May 21 and Capo STILL has yet to respond. Abysmal service-questionable company!!

The numerator on the goods was originally inaccurately listed, though on enquiry, the auction house, in good faith, admitted and clarified the error. There was no actual significance to the error in this instance and it was clearly a genuine oversight, probably born of their having cannibalised the listing from elsewhere (A lot which matched their listing had appeared on liveauctioneers some time earlier). The auction house behaved ethically. The goods were reflected accurately in the content of the listing and further information-albeit rather limited-was offered on request. I am satisfied that they acted in good faith and the lot arrived as described. Arrangements for collection were limited, but as long as the buyer made suitable independent plans, adequate.

I do plenty of global buying. Those that take PayPal are always the easiest transactions. Those that don't put their interests interests before their customers. I pay the hammer price. Then I pay the buyer's premiums. In most cases i also pay the pick-up and shipping costs. To ask the auction house to pay the PayPal fee is too much? That's disappointing. I know that liveauctioneers has its own payment portal. Let's face it guys... its no PayPal.

I went to pick up my item during the live auction, and they said it wasn't available and that I would have to come by the following week to pick it up. They said that I could arrange pick-up on the weekend, but when I tried to coordinate pick-up, they denied ever telling me that even though I have it in e-mail. They weren't very responsive, and when they did respond, they didn't answer my questions.

The items were small enough that the auction could have shipped but request I use an outside company which add additional time and money

Confusion about picking up. On the phone I was told someone would bring the pice down to me but when I got there they told me I'd have to find parking and come up.

I bought 2 Lladro figurines on live auctioneers. Before I bid on the figurines, I emailed the company for more information on the figurines. I ask if there were any chips, cracks, repairs or damages on them. The company replied no damages on them. When I got them, I was disappointed because both were damage.. Lladro Spring Splender lot # 482, and Lladro Fragrant Bouquet lot # 485. I live in Florida, and I buy a lot of items on this Live Auctioneers Service. This company do not give me the same service and information compare to other companies I do business with.. Not good.

I was initially sent an email saying I didn't win the item, then I was sent an invoice on a Wednesday evening saying payment was due by that day or I would incur storage (everything was already closed). Then I tried to call during their stated business hours and nobody answered the phone. I finally got it paid for but I still don't have the item. The shipper sent me an invoice which I paid and then sent me another invoice for a much larger amount which I refused and they apparently are still holding my item.

I picked the piece up myself from the auction house. In order to pay them, you had to call them and do it over the phone. It would be much easier if they had a system whereby you could just click through to PayPal or a credit card processing option on line. Then, after I had paid, I received a note from them saying I needed to pay them. When I wrote to them to ask whether they had in fact processed my payment, they never answered. Overall their payment "interface" was not smooth or easy.

I don't think the referred shippers should charge a pick-up fee due to the large referral base the auction house is providing them. This seems to be an unfair service fee by the shippers. JAH

Capo auction house provided prompt, friendly service. A suggestion for your survey; although the auction house is not responsible for shipping, you might want to ask whether the item was packed properly. Most auction houses recommend shippers, and might benefit from feedback letting them know whether to continue recommending the shipper.

They really need to do a more thorough job describing items. I purchased a Gabriel Spat painting. After I picked it up I took it to have it reframed-it was under glass (actually stuck to the glass) and obviously cut down from a larger piece. None of this was mentioned or visible in photos provided. In the end-the condition makes the piece worthless. Will likely never participate in an online auction again without an exhaustive description present...
