After our original shipper failed to pick up the prized 18th century desk we had won, the auction house met us in Mass. when they made a buying trip. The people are unbelievably helpful and nice; the desk was swaddled like a baby and made the trip without a scratch; and the auction house now has very devoted clients in me and my son. We were honestly ecstatic just to win this beautiful slant-lid desk, but the auction house's service was out of this world.

I purchased a huge and very heavy Kodiak bear trap, which could not to be shipped by USPS or UPS. Stony Ridge arranged for it to come to me in Wyoming via an independent shipper travelling from the East to California, and sent along a box of the smaller things I had purchased at the same auction. Great solution to a vexing shipping situation!

The shipping cost by UPS is higher then it should be for items that are bid on for resale, also time of receiving ltems seems to be slow from auction house to UPS.

It was my first time dealing with this auction house and overall my experience was great. The item was as described, payment arrangements were clear and easy, and the item arrived in perfect condition. I love the fact that they offer in house shipping. I would definitely use them again.

Perhaps you can negotiate a bit with you shipper. I think $36.00 is a little bit high to send postcards that could fit in a flat rate envelope and ship for less than $10.00. I understand they need to make a profit too-but I felt that was a little high. I probably won't bid on any more of your auctions because of it.

Because you give Pakmail a monopoly on your shipping business, they are free to gouge YOUR customers on shipping, and they DO. You should allow your customers a choice of shippers. Competition in a free market is a good thing.

Great items, fast ship, answered emails = all is good

We love bidding in Stony Ridge Auctions because 1) they find the best antiques and collectibles, 2) they keep their bidders premiums low, 3) they work with us on shipping and pickup, and 4) we have no regrets from bidding and buying from Stony Ridge Auction.

The owners are top knotch and so helpful. It was such a pleasure to work with them and I look forward to other auctions that they hold. Maybe next time I will go in person.

My items were packed very well. The interactions that I had with the auctioneer were strained to say the least. They were slow in responding to my questions and then seemed to blame me and say I did not pay on time. I was trying to pay but could not get anyone to respond to me and then I could not get anyone to respond about my shipping. The instructions they put on their items for shipping are not accurate. The e-mail addresses are not correct and part of it does not even make sense to me. I waited quite a while just to find out if they were shipping my items. However, they were packed well and the shipping did not take as long as most of the other auction houses that took my payment right away! I think they just need to work on "their bedside manner",

Shipping is VERY expensive!

The item was not describes properly, as there was a little bit of damage to it That was not in the description or in the photographs. There was only one picture. Would have been nice to see a couple more.

Stony Ridge Auction held a great auction! It ran smoothly and worked well under Live Auctioneers. The experience from Sydney, Australia was wonderful. The mailing house provided a seemless service however tried to charge overs for shipping and then upon discussion and subsquent requote, it was still way over priced compared to other postage charges-NOT Stony Ridge Auction's fault.

Buyer's Premium is too high.
