Shipping was about twice the cost of the item I bought.... are you kidding! This auction process was my first time with live auctions. The hand-off to an independent shipper without knowledge of shipping costs is something I'll never do again with this auction house.

Jane and Dan are the absolute best sellers on "liveauctioneers." They go above and beyond for each and every sale. I have bought from them a several times and LOVE everything I have shared. FIVE STAR sellers!

I would like more photos and sometimes a little more info...

Pictures of the auction did not reflect true condition of the painting-we got a panting with a hole in the middle of the painting-it is a major flow and was not mentioned anywhere. Not one picture showed a hole in the painting.

My dealings with Stony Ridge were fine... the shipping was fast, but I will say that the packing was pretty rough. Things were placed in a piece of newspaper... I don't like overdone packing, but this was rather rough.

I was very apprehensive to go through an auction house and not knowing about shipper. This was an EXCELLENT experience and I will never have any concerns regarding bidding again. The piece is SUPURB!

shipping charges were extremely high, for that reason i will no longer with this auction house.

A more detailed description of the condition of items being sold would be very helpful and appreciated.

Answered my questions before the auction about the item I wanted to bid on. Prompt billing (received invoice 1 day after auction ended), office person was very friendly, helpful and courteous. My item was picked up 1 day after I made payment and was mailed 4 days after auction ended. Overall I was very pleased with the entire transaction. I was very pleased to see that the auction house had prior coordination with the shipping facility. Item was well packed, I received a tracking number and my item arrived in excellent condition. Third party shipping is too expensive. Increased total cost of the item by 50 %. This is a common issue with auction houses that do not do the shipping.

I think that the 8 % extra buyer premium for using Live Auctioneers is excessive.

This does not reflect on the auction house-but the shipping was very expensive and it was packed with hundreds of packing peanuts that made unpacking difficult. However, I understand they were being cautious as I had purchased ceramics.
