Terrific mix of eclectic items, accurate, clean photos, great listing descriptions and info. Staff was professional yet very friendly, very helpful. Auction ran with no issues, and shipping house they use could not be better, reasonable in price, and handled everything with utmost care. Totally satisfied with these folks from start to finish, and certainly they will be my first choice to deal with. Highly satisfied-and I'm a pretty hard one to make this happy!

I purchase for my business on LIveauctioneers all the time and enjoy the ability to purchase from auction houses all over the US. It is a rare occurrence to have a bad experience on LIveauctioneers, but this one takes the cake. The auction ended well over a month ago and I paid for the painting for which I was the high bidder. I contacted a shipper and authorized pick up of the item with Sarasota Auctions in writing. I contacted them a couple of weeks ago, because the shipper informed me that they would not, or could not, release the item to them. I called Sarasota Auction and was assured that they would contact the shipper and the situation would be rectified immediately. I called the shipper again today and was told they are still unable to obtain the painting because the auction house can't locate it. Seriously?! Why didn't they just inform me of that? I would have understood. Stuff happens. But not to even inform me or refund my money is unacceptable and an extremely poor business practice. I will never do business with this company again.

They had to provide the item description in detail. I called them to ask the condition of my won item, Royal Copenhagen. But they told a lie that tea pot of Royal Copenhagen is in good condition. It has long a hair line on the opening for pouring water. They gave poor description and lie.

This is my first time bidding on Sarasota estate auctions. I won 2 lots, and it was very easy to make the payment and arrange for shipping. The items were exactly as pictured and described. I do wish, though, they had in-house shipping. The price was higher to ship than with auction houses that ship items themselves. Nonetheless, the whole process was easy and I highly recommend Sarasota Estate Auctions.
