I have been a big fan of the Slotn organization since the times of the folk art festival. They were well run in a pleasure to attend. I respect them for not continuing the festival as it started to become a lot more mass-produced and less about the real artists and original artwork. I hesitated to go to the auctions when they started primarily due to distance. After attending the first one I was hooked. Going to the auction site is like going to a private museum where you will see works that might never be public again. The interaction with other bidders was always enjoyable. The environment and food and drinks! were very low-key and comfortable. I miss not being able to go during Covid but I certainly understand and look forward to them hopefully opening safely in the future to the public. Everyone that works there is a team player. They have always been extremely helpful, from helping me register to bid on the day of auction. even after the auction had already started. They’ve been great about flexibility regarding artwork pick up timing and payments. Questions about artwork details and provenance have been answered quickly and honorably. I would rate them all the stars in the sky! Thank you for a bright spot of goodness in this ever-changing world.

An "easy peasy" sale. The buyer's premium is stated. Why did I write that? Because I just bought items that I had to call to find out the buyer's premium, not on the web site. You got the shipping cost stated for you. Only thing you have to do is to know your state's sales tax. I love the way they have this set up.

Always a great experience

I purchased a Native American work on UN framed fabric. The item was shipped folded in quarters and now the creases cannot be removed without damage to the work. I now have a Native American work that cannot bee displayed and is basically worthless.
