Nye is a terrific auction house.
Nye is a terrific auction house. The bidding, the payment, everything but the shipping is the best. The only drawback is that they work with UPS which is the worst shipping company in the world. It takes UPS twice as long as FedEx Ground and the cost is higher. I wish that they would find an alternative where FedEx is offered. Then they would be a ten star company!

I'm glad you noted that shipping can be the Achilles heel of the bidding transaction. We are always looking to refine the list of recommended vendors, dropping those that don't meet our standards and adding others that do. It's an ongoing battle that we hope to eventually win. Straightforward, knowledgeable, and very helpful.
My favorite are Nye's periodic "Back Yard" auctions. I'm always interested in the curious and unusual. I've participated in more than a few auctions, and have always enjoyed a fun and exciting experience.

Nye came across very professional
however, they contracted with the worst shipper. The first one did not have their answering functions installed and after a few calls back and forth I was informed that the sheet of paper (including any and all items) would incur a $20 pick up fee each in addition to $24 for and envelope and mailing. Nye referred me to a different shipper who kept me on the line for 25 minutes and basically came back with the same offer, less $10 for pick up. Meanwhile we had a COVID situation and we soured on the shipping all together.

Nye is a great auction company to deal with.
First time buyer with Nye and Co. Even during the virus epidemic their service was excellent. The item was as described. Iasked for a condition report on an item in their next auction. The report I received was professional, detailed, and honest. Thank you Nye and Co. I give them five stars, but if I could I would give them ten. I would have no reservations about dealing with them again They have gained a new customer..

COVID-19 upset daily business and derailed our shipping department, which we provide as a courtesy. We also provide a list of recommended shippers if we are unable to do it. Not sure where the break down in communication occurred but apologize for your frustration.

Shipping policy
They need to be pro active on shipping small items UPS is a reap off vs USPS is 1/3 the price
