I would bid with Nye again.

Nye offers state-of-the art items, easy checkout, professional, friendly and the most accommodating staff. The owners are often visible and accessible to answer any questions. There are always cool and interesting items at Sean's Backyard auctions, as well, not to be missed! For dog lovers, the presence of Bisby, the sweet lab, adds to the charm of the auction house.

Even though they tell you after the auction that you can arrange shipping through another vendor, that process is time consuming. Their only offer to you is fedex that must be signed for and the costs sometimes are more than you paid for the item + their commission! So if you don't mind the cost and are willing to wait on fedex with a delivery window of 8 am to 8 pm, you might not feel as I do. There are just too many other auction houses with more reasonable rules for me to bother with them again.

The Nye & Company experience is always wonderful. Pleasant friendly staff, quality things, and thoroughly well run. Their wonderful Yellow Lab is a treat and greets you will warmth and attention. I actually enjoy the auction more because they have their family dog there.

Nye did not tell me the sculpture had been repaired, a bad repair at that. I paid 25.00 for the item and they charged me 75.00 for shipping which was way TOO HIGH, I will NOT participate in any of their up comping auctions because of the reasons I stated.

I purchased 2 small framed drawings for $40 to $50 combined. Then they quoted me $135 to ship. When I asked them to reduce that, they sent me a list of private packagers, who kept changing their quote amounts. Out of frustration, I ended up getting these 2 me without frames at $65 which is still high but I need to frame them! I guess that's where they make their . Some auction houses are much better on shipping.

Great service very easy to work with Nye & Co.-Love my purchase! The shippers took great care in packaging my purchase. This was my 1st auction win & the whole experience was excellent.

auction was fine. $65 to ship 2 plates costing $18 from Bloomfield NJ to Manhattan is absurd. Never purchase from NYE again.
