We apologize for our delay in responding to your review – we were just informed today that LiveAuctioneers has a review site! We did want to take a moment to respond to your concerns about waiting for online bids to process. If you are participating in an online only auction, each lot will be open for 15 seconds; if no bids are placed, a fair warning message is called, and another 7 seconds is allowed before the lot closes and the next one opens. Any time a bid is placed, the 7 seconds resets and another fair warning message is sent, allowing more time for bidding to occur. Due to Internet connectivity issues and lag times, it may go faster than this. Online only auctions account for approximately 25 % of our auctions. If you are participating in one of our regular auctions, there are also people in our auction hall bidding on the same items. Bidding can happen quickly. We sell approximately 85 lots per hour, so it is a fast pace. People in the audience appreciate it because it isn't boring. For Internet bidders, we recommend placing absentee bids in advance of the auction due to hedge against potential Internet connectivity issues and lag times during the live event.
