Paul Arsenault is an exceptionally well run auction service. Their item descriptions and photographic representations are extremely accurate and all that's needed for a knowledgeable buyer. Seemless invoicing, payment processing and quick secure packing/shipping through a Live Auctioneer's vendor were excellent.

I know Paul Arsenault as an auctioneer as I purchased many “collectible” items from him on LiveAuctioneers. I enjoyed purchasing vintage glass, silver, art, and jewelry, and my husband had a large coin collection. When my husband passed away, I started collecting more as it was an outlet for my pain. I knew I would need to downsize to move in with my daughter and her family, and it has taken me 4 years to decide that I need to stop buying and economize. I assumed that the majority of my collectibles would be sold online to an audience that recognized the value of the items. When Brooke said that most of the glass items would be sold at a live auction as shipping was a chore, I believed that they knew best what should happen. But then they sold the majority of mine and my sisters ’ items at a live walk-through sale instead. No one notified me of the date of the live sale so I didn’t know to be present. I live in Standish but I have relatives in the Oxford area who could have attended on my behalf. The majority of the items that I purchased from Paul over the last couple of years did not even catch what I paid for them. The “itemized” list of sold items was so vague with no mention of the makers of the items, and I could barely tell which items were mine versus my sisters. I consigned glass pieces from Lenox, Lladro, Royal Worcester, Lefton, Fenton, Swarovski, and Kutani porcelain. I consigned art work from Aldo Luongo, Aeri Elizabeth Fischer, Countess Zichey, and Bev Doolittle. My husband’s coin collection cost him over $950.00 and they barely captured half. I entrusted them with collectible costume jewelry from Trifari, Coro, Monet and Ecclissi sterling silver watches not to mention the Tanzanite Earrings with platinum over silver posts that were appraised at $1025.00 but were sold for $10.00. In the end I paid over $4200.00 over 20 years for collectible items and walked away with under $2000.00.

Great item easy shipping and payment

No problem with auction company. It was they cannot ship firearms but that a local shipping company would. There lies my disappointment. Shipping was double the cost as any firearm I've had shipped from any other auction nationwide. Bidder beware.

The buttplate on the shotgun was cracked. They did not reveal that in the pictures they provided for the auction. Freight too was outrageous, about 50 % then it should have been

Purchased pistol for $300. Total costs after shipping were $465.

I was very happy with the item but felt that the shipping company charged too much.

Neither pleased nor totally displeased. Not impressed with the condition of the dies. However, what can you expect with pictures and a description from a motivated seller.

I won a vintage Orvis bamboo fly rod from 1958. The pictures were clear and the description was spot on... very detailed and completely accurate. They clearly went over the rod from end to end to check the condition and posted pictures of the most important areas. Payment over the phone was easy and they had it carefully packed and shipped out in just a couple of days. I wish every auction was so organized!

I bid online and won several items. The description and pictures were sufficient to make a good bid decision. The transaction process through payment and shipping was seamless. I knew were the items were. Would/will bid on item from Arsesnault again.
