Old Barn Auction is excited to announce our Militaria Auction on February 16, 2019 at 10:00 AM, featuring the Militaria Auction from the collection of Dr. Wayne Pettyjohn, a collector for more than seventy years. Dr. Pettyjohn had a private military museum. The collection is varied with several pieces being unusual and one of a kind, hundreds of lots of militaria encompassing multiple conflicts and generations. Highlights include: a fantastic collection of USMC Militaria items from 1800's through Korean War such as uniforms, hats, insignias, helmets, 11 Imperial German helmets: Prussian, Baden, Wurttemburg and Saxon, a Belleau Wood uniform and helmet, large amounts of USMC WWI items, 100's of pieces of trench art, German WWI helmets. Dozens of Japanese swords and 3 Japanese Samurai suits of armor. Featuring a full uniform and flight records from Philip Burnham from Marine attack squad 214, Blacksheep, VMF-214. Also an incredibly rare and valuable signed document by Field Marshal Erwin Rommel circa May 8, 1942 requesting awards for 12 soldiers and a signed document from General Field Marshal Karl Von Rundstedt dated 12-15-44.
