Prehistoric Artifact Auction

We are very pleased to offer a portion of the Ed (Buddy) Scheidegger Collection. Well known to Southern Indiana collectors, Mr. Scheidegger was a prolific collector during the 1950's and 1960's. He amassed a very fine collection with many of the pieces being from the area around Cannelton, Indiana and most being personal finds. In this offering are a number of fine Bannerstones, Axes and Celts pictured in various, older publications. Don't miss this opportunity to acquire an artifact from this fine, old time collection. We are also pleased to offer a fine selection of prehistoric artifacts from the Evan Maurer Collection. Mr. Maurer is dispersing his lifetime collection during the next few sales. Mr. Maurer's prehistoric Southwest pottery collection includes very fine examples of a variety of cultural types. Speaking of pottery, this sale contains one fo the finest Hopewell Engraved Ceramics we've seen offered to the public. A number of quality stone Axes can also be found in the auction, including two Meadows papered Trophy Axes. Flint artifacts being offered include a large 6 5/8" Flintridge Dovetail (Rogers COA) and several of the finest Heavy Duty Points you've seen.
