DuMouchelles’ November 2025 Online Only sale offers a wide-ranging selection of fine and decorative arts, including paintings, rare books, sculpture, vintage ornaments, and distinctive furniture, presented entirely through online bidding. A standout among the fine art offerings is a pair of watercolors attributed to M. Fortuny, signed and hailing from an Ortonville, MI private collection. Other strong works include Spring Flowers in a Blue Vase by Marie Wagner and Courtyard Serenade by L. Hauser, both from the estate of Glen A. Carelson of Bloomfield Hills, MI, and a vivid pastel by Peter Augustave Rasmussen. Glass and ceramics are well represented, featuring a 1989 biomorphic sculpture Shelter by American artist Richard Royal, a Steuben calcite and aurene compote, and frosted crystal figures by Lalique and Daum. Porcelain highlights include pieces by Belleek, Willets Belleek, Royal Vienna, and Lenox, alongside Chinese enameled ware and Italian hand-painted vessels. Decorative collectibles include a limited-edition 1997 Christopher Radko Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs ornament set and groupings of additional Radko ornaments. Two early hand-colored engravings by Saverio Manetti and an etching after Pablo Picasso represent collectible prints. The sale also features historical book collections, including multiple Lakeside Press editions and Romesh Chunder Dutt’s 1906 History of India in nine volumes. Furniture highlights include a Federal-style mirror, a Regency mahogany chair, and mid-century pieces such as an Art Deco mirror-top table and a Chinese modernist screen. Other notable lots include a Victorian “Gone with the Wind” lamp, an Art Deco spelter dancer, and a carved marble bust. Provenance throughout includes estates and collectors from Bloomfield Hills, Indian Village Detroit, Ortonville, and Brethren, Michigan.
