Overstreet Arrowheads & Sam Cox Artifacts are pleased to present the first portion of a three-part sale consisting of consignments gathered from six old-time collections spanning from the Midwest to Eastern U.S. Included within are items from the Late Herb Gsell collection which contained many fine Texas artifacts, the Mike McGowan collection which primarily consist of West Tennessee items, the Marvin Shoemaker collection which was assembled in the Saint Clair County area of Illinois between 1900 and 1970, the late Allen ''Bim'' Bigsby collection of Salina, Kansas, who was named National Geographic's Amateur Archeologist of the year 1997 and feature on the front cover of the publication along with his discoveries, the Steve Lewis collection of Manchester Ohio which has a well rounded variety of quality artifacts from across the Eastern United States, and a large private collection that was assembled in the Western Kentucky region through purchasing dozens of small self-found collections over a coarse of more than 50 years.
