Coins, Banknotes and Medals

One of the major highlights of this sale is a private collection of early hammered and milled coins. Dating from 1300 onwards these gold coins and tokens from the Isle of Wight were amassed in the 1950s and are appearing on the market for the first time.
The sale contains a fine selection of Pennies from the Anglo-Saxon age including Offa, Cnut, Edward the Confessor and William I. World Coins contain a quantity of Double Eagle St Gaudens in brilliant mint states. We are pleased to offer a collection of autographed American railway Stocks and Bonds signed by important railroad men and financial figures, including Galusha Grow and Jay Gould. As each sale passes, the growth in interest in the collecting of bonds continues to outstrip demand and we are always looking for consignments in this fascinating area.
For collectors of militaria there is a large collection of World War I memorabilia including Shell Cases, Plugs, Binoculars, Gas Masks, Trench Art and Helmets.
