Bertoia’s condition descriptions are vague and not very helpful. Their buyer’s fees are exorbitant. Their packing is excellent.

The staff at Bertoia is outstanding and very helpful with all questions. They grade their items fairly, have the most wonderful catalogs and always provide plenty of photos to enable the bidder to get a good appreciation of the items to be auctioned.

Good pictures all sides of the item are needed

On my item only 3 side were provided. The back side of the item was missing which I could not see since they did not provide a picture.

Thank you for your feedback. We are sorry for our oversight in conditioning the missing bracket at the rear end of the item you had purchased. We strive for complete and accurate condition reporting, though sometimes can make such a mistake. Additionally we take the multiple photographs so that our bidders can see the overall condition and items. On your piece, photograph # 2 shows the rear end of the toy. While our terms of sale state that all sales are final, when a defect is missed on our behalf, we certainly do not hold the buyer accountable. It is best to bring such concerns to us immediately. Please reach out to us directly to discuss a mutually agreeable resolution.
