From start to finish everything went exactly as it should.

Auction house did a fine job but using one of their recommended shippers (UPS) was a costly endeavor. Next time will try another shipper for a better rate.

When a company is not willing to tell you right up front that something is WAY below being of any worth. Buyer beware, Don't bother to bid. I sent an email requesting description, as instructed, no response. Only to find it was not only chipped but poorly glued back together.

The description of the clock on the auction announcement was very brief, and I was not sure the clock ran properly. The clock was very well packed, and it works like a charm. I believe that had the description included that the clock was in good working condition the purchase price would have been much greater.

We always look forward to the next Thos. Cornell auction!

Outside shipping is certainly expensive. For small items like this purchase, perhaps you could consider going in-house. On eBay a similar small item would cost much, much less to pack and ship.

I thought the shipping price was high, 60 % of the purchase price. But it was by another company. That said, it will certainly affect my future bid amounts.

The auction house was closed for two days immediately after the auction... Nothing on their website, no notice on the front door, nothing on their answering machine. Meanwhile, I drove an hour to get there twice because I didn't want to be a "late payer" after my winning bid. When the shop was finally open, I noted my inconvenience, they shrugged it off with a disinterested "Oh". When I went to pay for my item [ an inexpensive art print ] they informed me I had to pay in cash only. I only had a card on me... Eventually, because I had purchased there before, they allowed the transaction, but, they made clear they weren't happy... When I noted that their "cash only" for small items policy wasn't posted, they again shrugged and said "Well, it's our policy". All in all, unfriendly, unhelpful and inconvenient.
