It was really difficult to get in touch, I called over 10 times and left multiple messages, when they finally picked up, the person I spoke to was very friendly and helpfull. However the list of shippers recomended needs to be edited, I received quotes from $1 ********** for a delivery taking 1.5 hours!! So I ended up hiring a local mover from my end for $400 (NYC price!), the only reasonable quote came in late from Circle B Shipping $300, perfect but too late, this exposes the other shippers as totally fraudulent!

Get a shipping quote before making purchase. Shipping is a ripoff.

They sometimes do not respond to my questions regarding conditions. Last auction I had 3 questions but received no answers/\.

Picture showed a white background on the quilt. Actual color of background material was a bright yellow!

When asked a specific question about an item listed for sale, the Cordier Auction representative misrepresented the condition of the piece. This auction house covers for their lack of clarity by stating in their terms of sale that they are not responsible for mistakes, oversights, or misrepresentations. In other words, internet buyers should not expect Cordier to be honest, forthright, or ethical. Nor should perspective buyers expect Cordier to follow the ethics policies established by the Pennsylvania Auctioneers Association which states, “It is the duty of every member to protect the public against fraud, misrepresentation or unethical practices in connection with the sale... of any real or personal property the Auctioneer is called upon to dispose of at public auction”. Further, the PAA code of ethics states, “It is the duty of a member to ascertain all pertinent facts concerning every sale for which he is engaged, so that in offering he may avoid errors, exaggeration, and misrepresentation”.

Staff was duplicitous and rude. Management acts with utmost disrespect. Would recommend NOT doing business with Cordier & staying away. 'Caveat emptor'.

Cordier's personally helped me with questions and were very friendly and cooperative. Good phone manner and good info. I will view more Cordier Auctions in the future-

I bought a few books at their last auction. I paid for the books and arranged for the UPS store to ship them. Everything went fine-my books were packed and shipped, I received them in a timely fashion and the shipping cost was very reasonable.

Have dealt with this auction house a long time. Easy to deal with, courteous and professional. Wide variety of merchandise. Clean. Friendly staff. A great experience!
