Problem with delay of bids with live auctioneers or my computer. Ended up purchasing an item after the item I was bidding on because I liked it, and Cordier could not have been more helpful. Was at auction in person and it did not seem to be a problem with the auction house.

Cordier lost one paid item of ours in a multiple group lot, and it was the most expensive and desirable of the bunch. They looked for 1/2 hr while we waited on pickup appt but could not locate it. They said an in person bidder likely packed it up with their merch and they would phone a few people to ask if they had it in error. We don't understand how that happened as the staff there are freakish to the point of frightened if someone walks in front door always locked, even in daytime hours. Also, they are the only ones who handle items; buyer sits at table until they bring items out to you. The items were in a standing locked glass showcase upfront awaiting bidder pick up. A woman clerk said if they find item it would be mailed to us at their cost (we are 3 hrs away). It has been 2 weeks passed, with NO courtesy call from Cordier. That clerk went on vacation so I had to call AGAIN and re-explain the loss situation to a second staff/front desk member. She took notes but neither of them were able to offer a financial refund to close the issue caused by their negligence. I asked them to ESCALATE the matter to someone in charge authorized to make decisions. We currently are 3 plus weeks awaiting Cordier to offer us a solution to a problem caused in house; all bidders on this lot number were Live Auctioneers persons beyond the opening bid., Cordier should have noticed upon moving the items from sale room to showcase that one item was missing, as each day that passed only gets more distant from finding the lost treasure misplaced. We purchased 2 lots there, similar Williamsburg Delft items, and both had LA under bidder action. That definitely shows someone in the gallery on auction day eyed our valuable item and fancied taking it for themselves, and there is no camera security footage to capture who that person is or how the item was released to pack up without proper ID and paid receipt. Not accurate descriptions No help loading out. A credit card too guarantee an in state check despite their ability to reference my live auctioneers history..... arrogant. Too many ridiculous rules!! What exactly does the buyers premium get me??

I think the 20 percent premium is getting too high For jewelry auctions. The descriptions are pretty good however the descriptions on 3 of my pieces did not disclose that the stones were loose and one piece The diamond was falling out. I always like to inspect items in person however I was unable to attend in person and unfortunately it wasn’t disclosed correctly which adds to my end cost and reduces my profit margin. Ultimately when a premium is 20 percent I expect full disclosure on obvious things like stones nearly falling out of settings. I will continue to be a patron however it just reduces my frequency for when I can attend previews or in person only.

Cordier designates specific shippers the auction house works with. The ups shipper I ended up using from their designated list wanted me to sign a waiver that would waive my rights to my lot in case it were stolen or lost. I have never had a shipper ask me to sign such a form just because I chose to insure the lot for 500 USD instead of its full value. Overall, I am unhappy with their choice of shipper and unreasonable demand to have a customer sign a form that would waive rights to customer's own property. Absolutely unacceptable

The item was listed as "having some corrosion on the trucks", and there was corrosion on some of the trucks, but there was A LOT of corrosion on the sides of several of the cars, to the extent that I would not have placed a bid on the item, had it been properly photographed and detailed in the auction listing!! The shipping was over priced to say the least, and I didn't like that my payment to "liveauctioneers" didn't included the shipping price, which left me at the mercy of the overpriced shipper to retrieve my item!! This was my 1st and LAST time I will be using this auction site!!
