I did Not receive the Two Framed Photographs included in Lot 115G in the box which contained the VHS tapes. I contacted Mid-Hudson the day of receiving shipment and JoAnne, the owner, said she would look into it, which is over 10 days ago and she never wrote again. I contacted the shipper and they said it was not on the packing list. I wrote to Liveauctioneers and never got a response.

They were friendly and prompt in responding to my questions prior to the auction. As an out-of-state bidder, I couldn't attend the preview, and they were very good at addressing my concerns. I would recommend them and hope to do business with them again.

The painting needs more infos of its provenance. Having the owner of the auction house reassure you about its original provenance is not enough!

Only shipping choice was UPS, which wanted to charge $65 dollars for an item which could have been shipped by USPS for $18. The item itself cost $60. Another gripe is the "buyers premium". Does 1/4 of the price really reflect costs to the auction house? So my $60 item cost $$140. Makes one not want to use live auction....

The condition of the bar stools that I purchased was horrible-split wood in 3-5 places on all stools. The photos were Not representative and the condition was not described in the listing. Online purchasers are at the mercy of such practices. I will not purchase from them again and live auctioneers must do a better job in enforcing factual representations of items. Another example is this survey where negative responses are limited to a "slightly" negative category Just a bad auction house being serviced through an on line company that does not monitor these practices Marc

I was very pleased with my purchase and after reading through their auction agreement everything (including shipping) was very well explained. Very easy purchase and no complaints.

minimal photos in listing and item had been damaged, yet posted photos were careful to intentionally minimize that fact. Post sale they automatically hand-off items to a cohort price-gouging shipper even thought I explicitly told them NOT to give to their buddy shipper.. they went ahead anyhow and would not assist in retrieving the item. Useless.. will not do business with them again.

The shipping with UPS of my two standing lamps was terrible. They were SHOVED into one box and treated extremely poorly aND had dead bugs all over them. I'm still in the process of dealing with the UPS claims department but I would STRONGLY suggest that the auction house reevaluate their use of this particular UPS store, or give them very specific instructions on how to ship antiques.

Dishonest Auction House! The delft plate presents with a massive diagonal fine hairline crack not disclosed and not pointed out in questions asked prior to bid!!! The shipper that they recommended shipped the plaque to a wrong address even after multiple emails specifying address! plaque traveled all over USA before getting to us WITH A PRE Existing damage undisclosed by auctioneer... Never AGAIN will we deal with this one!
