No problems with Stair.

clear clean descriptions, good photography and great service

but often rather poor cataloguing. Their estimates mean virtually nothing-they undervalue everything to encourage bidding. Not particularly competent administration. I requested invoice 5 x only to be handed with a dispute. In the end, I had to go in personally to resolve. In the past, they've "lost" parts of my lot. Why do I keep bidding? They sell some very nice things!

Interesting and quality items, enough variety that I can aim for something. Hudson is a great place to visit and accommodation and amenities make it a great visit/break. Staff are great in a very traditional setting which I enjoy.

LOVE this auction house and all the folks working there. They could teach other houses how to operate and what customer service really looks like!

Buyers beware. Stair intentionally undervalues lots in their pre-sale estimates.
