I paid $938 for an antique quilt, there was a delay in shipping and mess up with the recommended shipping agent then no emails, messages or phone calls from UK to USA answered, only after raising it to a complaint with Liveauctioneers the auctioneer responded with a holding email. Now they state it was an abandoned lot and was resold for $325 less commission but I owed them over $300 storage fees what a load of ********** They only responded because I raised a complaint and it has take them nearly 2 weeks to come up with this answer, such disappointing service

The items arrived on time and they are exactly as described.

I did not enjoy my experience and will not return. Both piece a Stickley chair and stainglass window condition were not accurately represented on the webpage. The chair came with a full rip on the seat, which was not advertised. The stained glass window also came with 3 cracks that were not noted and not seen in the pictures. Please be careful, items conditions are not acutely represented. Buyer be aware applies.

New Haven Auction House was easy to work with. Their payment instructions and processing are clear and fast. I got a couple of shipping estimates, both were very professional, and the "preferred shipper", Village Express did an outstanding job of making the experience seamless, and did the best packaging job I've seen in years.

They notified me after winning and paying that they do not ship. Since I am in California and have zero way of knowing how to get my items, I asked them for assistance. They referred me to their terms of service in a form letter. I explained that the computer checkout system showed they ship and asked for assistance. They told me they do not ship. I asked that they resell my items and send me payment after their next auction. They responded that they dropped off my items at a shipping center who would contact me. I have received no further contact. I am out my money and the items. Caveat emptor. Not friendly, not helpful and they do NOT ship despite the option on the website.

I received excellent service and quick replies to my questions. New Haven Auctions-Fred Giampietro couldn't get any better in my opinion. I do have a problem with many shippers over charging. My 2 small bottles were quoted at $60/FedX. After politely complaining to the store person, It ended up being $54.26, about $20.40 for postage and about $34 for the bubble wrap/& the approx 4 minute packing. Additionally, I was supposed to receive a $7 refund for the FedX signature removal and then they shipped by USPS instead. They also refused to insure it unless it was double boxed, I won't hold my breathe for the refund. Because of this problem with shipping costs, it isn't worth bidding on the items I like anymore. The only auctions I'll participate in from now on are ones who offer in-house shipping.
