Day Two of DuMouchelles' September 2025 auction offers an extraordinary selection of fine art spanning centuries, movements, and mediums. From European masters to modern American abstractionists, the sale showcases significant works from distinguished estates and collections across Michigan, including Bloomfield Hills, Grosse Pointe, and Traverse City.

Leading the fine art selection are exceptional works by Pablo Picasso: two linocuts, Portrait de Jacqueline à la Fraise and L’homme à la Fraise, and a ceramic pitcher Sujet Poisson. Modern and post-war highlights include Robert Rauschenberg's Horsefeathers Thirteen – III (1972), a striking pastel portrait by Beauford Delaney, and a vivid 1965 oil by the Mexican master, Rafael Coronel. Noteworthy American contributions include Orville Bulman's signature tropical scenes, abstract works by Robert Goodnough, Guy Carleton Wiggins' New York Fantasy, and Henry Faulkner's expressive Portrait of a Man Presenting a Poppy.

19th-century maritime and landscape works feature prominently with William Edward Webb's Brixham, NB Torquay (1885), two detailed naval battle scenes by Thomas Whitcombe from the Littman Estate, and Zoltan Sepeshy's rural tempera landscape from the Bergishagen Estate. European offerings include Les Trois Grâces (1923) by André Lhote and works by Adolf Schreyer, Narcisse Diaz de la Peña, and Charles Clair, with additional classical works from the Estate of Louis Behre, including pieces by Emily Mary Osborn and Florence Vincent Robinson.

Other highlights include African sculptures deaccessioned from the Grand Rapids Art Museum, notably a Mahongwe reliquary figure and Baga shrine. The sale also features mid-century furnishings by Edward Wormley and Finn Juhl, a Steinway & Sons Model L grand piano.
