DuMouchelles proudly presents Day One of the October 2025 Auctions, showcasing fine decorative arts, lighting, sculpture, porcelain, sterling silver, and furniture from important Michigan collections. Anchoring the sale are Tiffany Studios table lamps—including the iconic 'Daffodil', 'Pomegranate', and 'Colonial' models—from the estate of a prominent Madison Heights collector, which also offers Tiffany-style lighting, bronze sculptures, and large decorative objects. Modern and contemporary glass art includes Dale Chihuly, Jon Kuhn, and Debora Moore from Bloomfield Hills collections. Highlights: Chihuly’s Oxblood and Clear Heron Installation, rare studio and Portland Press editions; Kuhn’s glass-top table Il Tavolino; and Moore’s botanical wall and freestanding glass sculptures. Sterling silver features S. Kirk & Sons, Gorham (“LaScala” and “Chantilly”), Towle, and a rare 1910 Art Nouveau centerpiece by Frank Mauser Co. from a Grosse Pointe collection. From the estate of Charles and Barbara Ghesquiere of Bloomfield Hills comes an extensive Chinese Export Famille Rose Mandarin porcelain group—over 100 lots of 18th–19th century platters, warming plates, teapots, and serving vessels. Sculptures include Clarita Brinkerhoff’s monumental Swarovski crystal Homage to Hera ‘Albino’ Peacock, Henri Paul Graf’s 1912 Carrara marble bust, and large-scale Chinese stone and jade Guanyin and Buddha figures. The rug selection features fine silk and wool examples—Persian Tabriz, Gonbad, Bidjar, Heriz, and Sino-Persian—from Bloomfield Hills estates, many with silk highlights and intricate medallions. This session offers a rare opportunity across genres, with provenance from Michigan’s most prominent estates.
