LARREY, Dominique-Jean (1766-1842). Autograph Document Signed. Paris, December 24, 1841. 1 4to page on a bifolium leaf on “Ministere de la Guerre” stationery. On laid paper with a watermark. Signed “le Bon Larrey” at the center left margin. With official stamps and red wax seal. Each page approximately 12 ¼ x 8”. Some wear, soiling, a few marginal tears. Good. This is a medical certificate for Mme. Josephine Boulanger and her arm injuries. Larrey states that she’s had some improvement to the use of her injured arm. Larrey was a pioneering military surgeon, having served with Napoleon in Egypt and Russia. He also successfully operated on Fanny Burney for breast cancer while she was in France.
