Chinese Qing Dynasty QianLong Blue and White Immortal Porcelain Washing Pot. Potted with a shallow body, slight deep, open round centre, dome body, raised on round foot base slight concave. Hand painted ornamentations are rendered in white base color which contrast against blue color, depicted of immortals standing on ruyi clouds above thrashing lishui wavy waves. A characteristic heaped and piled effect, the under glaze greyish-blue concentrates in certain areas, bubbling through the surface of the glaze and turning a deep blue-black. This inadvertently gave texture, energy, and shading to the design.The Under-base bears a reign mark, a four under glazed white script characters reign mark. Made in The Years QianLong Reign Period of The Great Qing Dynasty.
