The circular bowl engraved on the front with a vacant roundel within drapery swags, issuing to either side a spray of fronds, leaves and flowers, the rim surrounded by a "braided" border, maker's mark, assay master's initials and year date, silver standard mark "84" and city mark for Aleksandr Alekseyevich Smirnov, Moscow, 1894, swan into an oval mark for import into France.2.66 troy oz.H: 1.375 in., L: 5 in., Diam: 2.5 in.
