(1870-1966) American painter and illustrator, best known as an illustrator for advertisements, magazines, and such books as 'Mother Goose in Prose' and 'The Golden Age'. Partly-printed D.S., 1p. oblong 12mo., Windsor, Vermont, Mar. 15, 1932, a check making a payment of $500.00 to his wife 'Lydia Parrish', thus signing his name twice and signed by Lydia on verso as well. Shows several endorsement stamps on verso, light toning, very good.
