Description
This exceptional grouping features approximately 40 worked bone artifacts and 14 stone pieces, showcasing the incredible craftsmanship of early indigenous tools. The collection includes a diverse variety of bone awls, needles, and flakers—some featuring distinct drilled holes—alongside stone abrasives, shaft straighteners, and a large, smooth hand stone hammer. Crafted from natural fauna bone and various indigenous river and field stones, these pieces represent essential survival and manufacturing tools of the Pre-Columbian era. The items show authentic signs of age, heavy prehistoric use-wear, mineralization, and natural patination, with a few pieces displaying expected ancient fractures and chips, all beautifully preserved in vintage cigar and cardboard storage boxes. H 4", W 10", D 12.5". Please see photos for condition.
