Y A PAIR OF FRENCH TULIPWOOD AND GILT METAL MOUNTED STANDING BOOKCASES IN THE MANNER OF FRANCOIS LINKE, CIRCA 1900The tops and shelves to all four sides with tooled morocco leather insetseach 85cm high, 73cm wide, 55cm deepThis pair of bookcases were probably made in a Parisian atelier similar to that of Francois Linke (1855-1946), the leading French cabinet maker of the Belle Epoque, whose work includes related details such as the use of tulipwood, gilt metal mounts including ribbon and pendant swags and beaded borders.
