EDWARD & WALLIS: EDWARD, DUKE OF WINDSOR (1894-1972) King of the United Kingdom January - December 1936 & WALLIS, DUCHESS OF WINDSOR (1895-1986) Wife of Edward, Duke of Windsor. An excellent signed and inscribed 9 x 9 photograph by both the Duke and Duchess individually, the image showing them in a head and shoulders pose together. Signed ('Edward, Duke of Windsor') by the Duke and signed ('Wallis, Duchess of Windsor') by the Duchess, both in blue inks to clear areas of the background, and inscribed 'To Reginald' by the Duchess. Matted in beige and framed and glazed in a modern wooden frame to an overall size of 12.5 x 12.5. VG Provenance: Inscribed to Reginald Wilcock (d.2000) Valet to the Duke of Windsor, and later Page of the Presence to Queen Elizabeth, the Queen Mother, and the long-term partner of William Tallon (1935-2007) Steward and Page of the Backstairs to Queen Elizabeth, the Queen Mother.
