Convex chinscales of gilt brass with front fastener, backed in black leather with flexible cloth adjustment strap, secured by two geometric rosettes. Plume of black/orange/white feathers attached to brass cockade with wire loop inserted at top. Brown leather sweatband, red silk moiré-pattern lining, split at centre with two metal springs.
