Description
Whaling journal of whalship Captain Jacob L Cleveland on board the Whaling Barque Cherokee from August 6, 1846 to February 8, 1849. This is quite a logbook packed with information, whalt stamps, poems, caligraphy, tablets of sperm oil processed, payment pages, etc. Very interestingThe entries are amazing. The cherokee travels around Cape Horn and back again in this journal/log. The captain has added his own notes. 13"H x 8"W x 1"D.
Condition
There are torn and damaged pages but overall is quite legible for a 175 years old relic. Please look at the next two lots as well. Around 105 Pages
