Description
After Daniel MacDonald, Irish, 1821-1853. A 19th century oil on canvas funeral scene after "The Village Funeral". Depicts an Irish family and villagers at a hillside graveyard during The Famine. Unsigned. Two small repairs, craquelure and some surface grunge. 35 1/4 x 28" high, in a Gilt wood frame with repairs and minor damage, 48 1/2 x 41" high overall. ESTIMATE $800-1,200
