Description
A French bi-coloured gold mounted tortoiseshell box, c.1790, the inlaid tortoiseshell box, of circular form, within a gold outer mount decorated with rose gold stripes. Marked on lid and base. 36.21g 47mm x 24mm Provenance: Maurice 'Dick' Turpin, Barons Keep, London W14. Condition Report: Care must be taken when opening the box. Two gold stripes are delaminating.
