XUANDE MARK, QING DYNSATY, 18TH CENTURY
清 宣德六字底款 銅鑄灑金雙戟耳三足爐of deep flaring form with angular S-shaped handles, supported on a stepped base on three cabriole feet, the underside case with a six-character Xuande mark in a recessed panel

A bronze censer of similar form and three cabriole feet but without gold splashes, dated to the Ming dynasty 17th century, was sold at Christie's London, 13th May 2008, lot 166. Two further comparable gold-splashed bronze censers with three elephant-head feet, respectively dated to the 17th/18th and 18th/19th century, were sold at Christie's New York, 19 Mar 2008, lot 343 and Christie's London, 13 Nov 2015, lot 1208.
